NVBA Bringing Baseball and Softball Training to the North Valley

It has been the dream of owner Paul Bethke to create a comprehensive baseball and softball training center in the Grand Forks/East Grand Forks area.  His dream became a reality with the creation of the North Valley Baseball Academy (NVBA) located in East Grand Forks, Minnesota.

“I have thought about doing this for many years,” said Bethke.  “I want to promote the greatest game in the world and help young athletes develop their skills to realize their goals and dreams in baseball and softball.”

NVBA provides an indoor baseball and softball training facility for all four seasons. It features five batting cages, pitching and hitting stations, and the HitTrax baseball simulator. It features cage rentals, private and group lessons and standardized skills training for all levels on individual evenings and weekends.

The philosophy of the NVBA coaching staff focuses on player skills development and character development. Our coaches take a positive approach to skills development, and we will help our athletes develop a mental approach to the game to achieve success. Throughout the building we have posted positive sayings as reminders to our athletes to approach their practice time with energy, a good attitude and work ethic. We want our athletes to grow as leaders on and off the field and to provide opportunities for learning to be successful in the game and life.

As NVBA opens and begins serving our athletes, we will continue to develop new opportunities.  We will begin with our introductory Spring Training memberships, which will include cage rentals, private lessons, a baseline assessment on HitTrax and additional discounts on apparel and services. In the future we will create travel teams called the Channel Cats to expanding opportunities for athletes looking for elite competition.
